Guidam’s pedigree needs no introduction:
Quidam de Revel : What more can be said about the sire compared by his owner, Flemming Velin, to Northern Dancer? He has won team bronze and individual fourth place at the Barcelona Olympics with Herve Godignon ( who now competes with Guidam’s daughter Liona). Quidam de Revel is also the sire of Jessica Kurten’s Quibel (Luidam’s 2004 Aga Khan team mate) who topped the World Breeding Championships sire ratings in 2004 for the second successive year and ten of his progeny competed at the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez.
Guidam fulfils the second credential (performance) with a series of international wins with Eric van der Vleuten at major shows like Mechelen, Bordeaux, Eindhoven and ‘s-Hertogenbosch, he won the best stallion title at the Zwolle International Stallion Show. Guidam then retired to stud through injury.
Guidam was awarded a ‘ Keur” predicate by the KWPN and was the 2003-2004 leader on the jumping breeding index with an amazing rating of 171!. His stallion sons are at stud in Holland, Germany, The United Kingdom, United States and Poland with a high percentage of predicate daughters also at stud.
