A.Quidam M was a stunning looking Dutchbred stallion with No.3 and No.4 stallions in the world showjumping rankings in his pedigree such as Quidam De Revel and Caretino! He has the most amazing temperament and has jumped up to 1.30m! He is so far N1 with Horse Sport Ireland and licensed with the AES.
 

A Quidam M was selected from a leading Dutch stud farm in the autumn of 2007. This beautifully-bred son of Quidam de Revel (regarded as the “Northern Dancer” of the modern warm blood)  got his competition and stud career off to a flying start in 2009!
In his first season at stud, he attracted close to 50 top quality mares with 44 scanned in foal while in the autumn, he began clocking up double clears in his first outings with Irish international show jumper, Paul O’Shea.

A Quidam M ~ had an exceptional pedigree, full of Olympic, World champions and Grand Prix winners on both sides.
Sire - Quidam de Revel:

* Team bronze and individual fourth at the Barcelona Olympics
* TEN of his progeny competed at the 2002 World Equestrian Games
* The leading WBFSH sire for two successive years
* Sire of 48 CSI winners in 2007
* Already the sire of Top 20 sires, Guidam and Nahab de Reve.
These are just some of the facts about Quidam de Revel’s own performance record and his proven progeny, which also numbers Jessica Kurten’s brilliant Quibell.
Guidam is most noted as the sire of Beezie Madden’s stellar partner, Authentic. Consecutive team gold at Athens and Hong Kong Olympics; individual bronze at Hong Kong; team silver at the 2006 World Equestrian Games and winner of the 2007 Aachen Grand Prix are just some of Authentic’s world-class achievements.
Authentic also holds the record as the highest-priced gelding in show jumping history when sold for $5,000,000 in 2005.
Guidam also produced the Hong Kong individual silver medallist - Ninja, ridden by Sweden’s Rolf-Goran Bengtsson. He is one of the few sires to produce TWO individual showjumping medallists at the same Olympics.
Yet more of Guidam’s successful offspring include King George V Gold Cup winner, Armani and the 2004 Aga Khan hero, Luidam.
Jalisco B ~ A Quidam M’s grand-sire - holds the record for the most progeny competing in the Olympic Games and his progeny include the household names of Quito de Baussy and Hermes de Reve. The latter topped the Irish Horse Board’s 2007 Genetic Breeding Index table.

Dam ~ Minook. Her impressive pedigree features blue-blood Holstein and Thoroughbred lines going back to Caletto, Cor de La Bryere, (Cavalier Royale’s sire who features in most of our broodmare’s pedigrees), Ramzes, Cottage Son, Son In Law and Bay Ronald.
Her sire, Caretino, one of Germany’s top sires,  scored 9.5 for jumping during his 100-day test and has since consistently featured in the WBFSH show jumping sire rankings, (5th in 2001, 4th in 2009). 
Caretino’s current top performer is the Richard Spooner-partnered Cristallo, (12th in the 2009 WBFSH rankings),  winner of the $400,000 Monte Carlo Grand Prix.
Amongst Caretino’s other progeny are the 2001 Hamburg Derby winner, Camirez; AK Caridor Z; Crocodile Dandy; and ToyzRus, ridden by Pan-American individual gold medallist, Jill Henselwood.
The 2008 United States Equestrian Federation jumper sire rankings were dominated by A Quidam M’s relatives - Quidam de Revel (2nd); Caretino (4th) and Guidam (5th).
Another of Caretino’s best-known stallion sons is Cheenook - Minook’s full-brother!
Licensed with the Hanover, Holstein, Oldenburg, Westphalia and the South German Breeder’s studbooks, Cheenook recorded a jumping index score of 140 and was trained to Grand Prix dressage level before his premature death.
He has produced two approved sons, including the U.S-based Coco Cavalli and on the performance front, sired Cyrenaika, winner of both the Hanoverian and Federal six-year-old show jumping championships. Another daughter, Cindy Crawford, also placed in these championships before going on to an international career with Piet Raymakers.
Cheenook was the leading sire in the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) 2008 hunter rankings.
Minook has also produced A Quidam M’s half-brother - Zaretino M. He was one of 200 five-year-olds to compete at the 2009 World Breeding Championships in Lanaken and one of forty through to the final. Just one unlucky pole down but like A Quidam M, one to look out for.
Minook and Cheenook’s maternal grand-sire - Romantiker - is by the world-famous Ramiro Z who goes back to the influential Anglo-Arab sire, Ramzes, one of the foundation sires of the modern Holsteiner.
Ramiro Z is perhaps most famous as the sire of the brilliant Ratina Z (this Olympic mare was out of an Almé dam).
