Her Sire Orestus is a world class stallion that has competed at the highest level including Olympic Games, CSI**** and Puissance! A stunning looking stallion with lots of quality and top class pedigree such as Indoctro x Ramiro Z x Erdball XX. Orestus is the best horse I have ever ridden in my life. Since the first time I sat on his back, it was an unbelievable feeling as his style of jumping and scope are something special.
He is such a big character. No matter how big and wide the fences are, he fights for you and always gives 110% in the ring. For myself, I felt lucky to have the chance to ride a horse with his qualities which made me very confident jumping at my first Olympic Games. And if I need to do it again, I will choose Orestus.

Olympics.Orestus had the versatility to place in a variety of classes from Puissance to 1.50m classes at international shows such as Madrid, s’Hertogenbosch and Oslo in Europe; in World Cup qualifiers, (placed sixth in the 2007 Monterrey qualifier, won by Hong Kong silver medallist, Ninja) and at the 2007 Pan American Games (individual 15th place & member of the sixth-placed Guatemala team).
Orestus, with Juan Andrés Rodriguez, also claimed 42nd place at the 2008 Olympics.
Dam: Highland Royale or “Bonita” is a compact mare with a super light step over ground. Her dam has already produced a top showjumper! Standing 163 cm she is a nice gentle mare with lovely temperament. She was loose jumped as a 3 year old and showed great tecnique over a fence.
Sire: Cavalier Royale - whose most recent successful progeny include:
* Chippison - One of the top 25 combinations at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen; placed 3rd in the 2006 Dublin Grand Prix and a member of Irish Nation’s Cup teams from Barcelona to Lummen, (where Ireland were victorious). Chippson has also completed with distinction at such famous venues as Spruce Meadows, Hickstead, Falsterbo, Copenhagen, Gijon, Arrezo and Madrid.
* Cavalier Andy - finished fourth in the 7y.o Championships at Lanaken in September, the best placed of the Irish competitors. Other 2006 highlights include the 6/7y.o Championship at Balmoral Show; 6/7y.o IHB Grand Final at Iverk Show and placed second at Dublin, (ahead of the HOYS Foxhunter Championship runner-up - Jools).Contessa’s damsire - Clover Hill - was one of the most unique stallions in Irish Sport Horse history. Included within the top 15 sires in the WBFSH rankings in the 1990’s, he produced Olympic and Grand Prix calibre performers and is a highly infuential and a much sought after damsire. Several Clover Hill progeny are members of the Irish Army Equitation School team such as Nations Cup stalwart, Killossery, River Boyne and Killone Abbey. Another outstanding Clover Hill horse is Carling King ridden by Kevin Babington.
There are currently 17 Fully Approved Clover Hill sires in Ireland, including Clover Echo, (sire of Echo Beach) with more standing abroad from Switzerland to the United States.
