Top Class broodmare that jumped mini grand prix level by Cavalier Royale x (Samiel).
“Lady” is yet another choice of a Cavalier broodmare. This mare competed at Mini Grand Prix level (1.35m) before retiring as a broodmare.A very careful mare with a great technique, she clocked up 25 showjumping points while her half-brother, by Furisto (click here for pic) sold to the US for a substantial five-figure sum - is now jumping Grand Prix level.Her third foal, a colt by Guidam, qualified for the Irish Horse Board Colt Retention Scheme! Highland Lady must be one of the only mares with the rare Cavalier Royle - Samiel bloodlines who should produce versatile sport horse foals.
Sire: Cavalier Royale, a Holsteiner stallion who has had a huge influence on Irish Sport Horse breeding. He was a great cross with Irish mares and he produced some top jumpers i.e. Amos, King Cavalier, Captian Christy etc etc all of which are competing Internationally. He himself had a very successful career jumping Internationally for Switzerland at Grand Prix level. His progony have been very popular topping sales prices for years and also leading all the young horse classes.
Cavalier Royale is by the great Selle Francais Stallion, Cor De La Bryere, ranked 23rd in the 2001/2002 W.B.F.S.H stud book. He is responsible for five out of the top six jumpers in the Holsteiner stud book, which was the leading jumping stud book in the 2002/2003 W.B.F.S.H.

Samiel - a Croker Cup winner at Dublin Horse show - stood in Co. Clare and Wexford before he was sold to Scotland where he established himself as a sire of Eventer S and was awarded a Super premium at the HIS Newmarket Stallion Show.His stallion son - Mill Law - is an Advanced eventer and has produced some exciting performers. These include:* Run of the Mill, a prolific performer in BYEH classes, then reached Advanced level and won at Necame Cci ** in 2005 with Rodney Powell.*Cotton King, winner of the BYEH 4y.o final at Burgley and runner-up in the PAVO BE Breeding Championships in 2006.* Mill on the Floss - another big in-hand winner for Mill Law.Susannie, also by Samiel, was the third highest placed mare at Badminton in 2005.
Highland Lady has just been scanned in foal to Air Jordan! The foal will arrive in 2010.
